Bell View (Belford)
We are looking for an Accountant to support the operation of our Charity and our subsidiary businesses; Bell View Care Limited and Bell View Help at Home.
This role would suit someone who would be happy to work between 22.5 and 30 hours a week in Belford.
The Finance Manager’s responsibility is to ensure that the financial information we have supports the managers and the board/s to make excellent decisions.
The Finance Manager will engage with the budget holders to ensure the financial information is informative and understood to assist with their decision making.
As an experienced manager, you will have experience of financial management and a proven ability to both motivate and be a part of effective teams. You will need to have excellent communication and organisational skills and be both proactive and solution-focused.
Core Duties: Financial Management
1. Responsibility for all month end processes resulting in monthly Management Accounts reporting
2. Oversee the timely operation and upkeep of accounting systems in accordance with financial procedures
3. Deliver financial controls which meet statutory and regulatory requirements.
4. Manage and oversee the work of the Finance Assistant
5. Review and analyse financial reports, with Managers, on trends and performance against budget, to inform management decisions and strategic planning processes
6. Prepare information for our Funders to reflect project income and expenditure
7. Ensure efficient financial management and planning systems, ensure that financial reports effectively inform business development and fundraising strategies and that the organisation demonstrates value for money across all activities and services
8. Liaise with auditors, the Finance Assistant, Trustees and Senior Management Team to ensure efficient preparation of the annual financial accounts and budget, and the effective production of financial information to support funding bids, tenders and the generation of new income.
9. Oversee Governance and Compliance.
Salary
The salary for this role will be dependent upon the hours worked, but likely to be in the range off £25,500 (22.5 hrs) to £34,000 (30 hours) per annum
