We require experienced women* to take on the role of Communications and Marketing Officer within our growing team.
We require someone who with excellent communication skills, including using social media to connect with existing and new audiences. The ability to tailor-make messages to different stakeholder audiences is key, whether potential private-sector sponsors/donors, helping to promote training or develop marketing materials and strategies to other strategic stakeholders. We require someone who can anticipate and respond sensitively to external relation issues, working closely with internal teams, where necessary.
The ideal candidate will be proactive around PR, increasing our visibility and influence of RCTN and can offer training where required. You will work with our volunteer activism team to promote services, awareness of key issues and policy issues on social media. We can provided training where required.
The post holder must work within the spirit of RCTN’s values and ethos and business plan objectives. The post requires the successful candidate to work flexibly, with a mixture of home-working and building-based working as and when required.
Salary
NJC Scale 14 – 16 (based on experience) £27,344. – £28,282 pro rata £16,622 – £17,199 per annum based on 22.5 hours per week post depending on experience.
Hours and terms
Part time role – 22.5 hours a week.
Funding currently for 12 months – fixed term, with opportunity to extend, subject to funding.

Location
We offer hybrid working, with the office base in Newcastle upon Tyne being the main place of work.
