Going Green Together was developed by the VONNE Climate Action Alliance to address the need within the VCSE sector. The focus will be on barriers such as a lack of knowledge on climate action, and a lack of support in implementing action.
Going Green Together has selected fourteen voluntary, community, and social enterprise organisations across the North East and Cumbria to form the Act Green Together programme. The programme has been created to provide much-needed support in the development stage of environmental projects.
NCVA has been selected to cover Northumberland, as one of the fourteen VCSE organisations working across the North East and Cumbria.
We will be working with local communities to engage under-represented voices in climate action and co-design new projects on areas such as low-carbon transport, sustainable food, biodiversity and climate education. This opportunity was made possible thanks to the support of the National Lottery Community Fund.
