NCVA is hosting an exhibition of smart phone photography at its Ashington office. The exhibition, which runs throughout November, features the work of participants in the Bridge Northumberland employability programme.
The exhibition runs in parallel with NCVA’s hosting of the Illuminated Sheep Art Trail.
As part of their programme a number of participants have taken training sessions in smart phone photography. The aim has been to help individuals understand their ability to learn a new skill, building their confidence and social skills, while working as part of a group toward both common and individual objectives.
Bridge activities co-ordinator, Julie Fox, said, “I’m delighted at the fabulous photos the four participants have produced. The standard is really very high. Taking part has proved the ability to learn a new skill, gain confidence and acquire new social skills though working as a group toward a common goal.”
The exhibition starts with a private view for family and friends on 2 November 2022, and can be seen by the public Monday to Friday 10am-4pm from 3 November until 29 November 2022.
