Over 90% of victims of domestic abuse are women, a fact reflected in the NDAS team.   In an effort to improve access for boys, young men and male adults to NDAS services and to address an imbalance within the NDAS team, we are seeking to recruit a male Domestic Abuse Practitioner.

We are looking to recruit a male full-time Domestic Abuse Practitioner to work within the delivery team, supporting boys, young men and adult males across Northumberland.  The role will also support our Initial Response service 1 day a week, as well as prevention, and awareness-raising activity.

This role will suit someone with experience of supporting people within the community, delivering outreach services to people with multiple and complex needs; perhaps with a background in community and youth work, social services and/or domestic abuse.

The successful candidate will be able to develop professional relationships with service users, to create rapport and respond with empathy.  You will be a good team member whilst able to work independently.  You will be well organised and passionate about the work we deliver.
