Sexual Violence Against Older Women: Project conclusion & ways forward with Networking Event

Sector Training & Events
Date: 04 March 2020 10:00 - 12:00

Venue: The Beacon, West Road, Newcastle upon Tyne

Rape Crisis Tyneside and Northumberland's  Sexual Violence Against Older Women (SVAOW) 12 month project will conclude in March 2020.  The staff would like to invite you to join them to hear how the project progressed and plans for the future.

The project was designed to raise awareness that older women do experience sexual violence and it is underreported. Over the past year the project has worked with statutory & third sector organisations and individuals throughout Tyneside & Northumberland and delivered a programme of training to professionals. This event will also feature their new short film featuring two case studies from their work with women who are aged 60+.  Dr Hannah Bows will also give a short talk followed by Q&A.
