The J A Clark Charitable Trust was set up in 1971 by John Anthony Clark as a family charitable trust.

The objective of the JAC Trust is to use the Trust’s income to provide financial and other support to organisations and projects that help to make change for those in real need in the UK and the wider world.

The Trust gives grants to charities and other non-profit making organisations.  To maximise the impact of our grant-making we focus our funding on organisations that are effective, share our ambitions and whose projects are most aligned with our interests and passions.

2017-2022 Strategic Period

The Trustees have identified two areas they wish to support during the current strategic period:

a) Women’s Empowerment in Africa and Asia,

b) Disadvantaged Youths in deprived areas of the UK, specifically East London and the North East.

From time to time the Trustees will review the Trust’s funding policy and areas of focus. The most recent changes were made in March 2017. More information is available on the Trust's website.
